We trust you had a meaningful Easter celebration of the resurrection of our Savior. We are thankful for your prayers that are changing lives here in Taipei!
Praises:
`Through our work and partnership with 5 local churches in street evangelism, 206 people have heard the whole Gospel presentation through 2W2L (Two Ways to Live), and 48 people have made a decision to follow Christ in April and May! During training, we went out with them to model and assist as they shared the Gospel. Everyone was very surprised to see how many people were willing to listen and respond to the Gospel. God is indeed working in the hearts of Taiwanese!
`Kelly has finished teaching and facilitating trauma healing groups with a local church and a group of young mainland Chinese people. In the world today, many people have been wounded by different experiences, such as crime, domestic abuse, accidents, wars, and more. This resource is designed to help the local church respond biblically to people who are hurting. We hope many more churches can benefit from this resource.
Requests:
`The coronavirus is surging again here. A lot of churches have stopped meeting in person, and many have canceled their street evangelism programs. Please pray Psalm 46:1-2 for us: “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore, we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea.”
`Pray for churches that have stopped going out for street evangelism because of Covid – pray that they would not lose the joy of sharing the Gospel and be able to go out again once Covid cases go down again.
`We are asking God to continue to show us more churches to partner with to carry out the 6 missionary core tasks: Entry->Evangelism->Discipleship->Healthy Church Formation->Leadership Training->Exit.
`Ed is coordinating a basic theology training program (123 Next Generation leadership development) for potential leaders from local baptist churches in Taipei. We have set the date to start in September and are now accepting applications. We are asking God to bring students who have the burden to serve the Lord full time.
